well, i am finally done with school. forever. well, maybe not forever, but definitely for the next few years. unlike the majority of my classmates, i will not be attending college in the fall. it's out of personal choice and i just wish that people would come to an understanding about that.

so for now, i think i will set my main focus on both finding a second job and spending more time on my photography. i need a second job because the one i have now sucks more than anything in the world (i barely get any hours + it's a grocery store.. that should explain it all). with no hours, there is no pay and as any 18 year old, i need my money! i have a $70 phone bill i need to pay off every month. i also would like spending money since there are many things i have had my eyes on lately and i couldn't buy them because i am oh so broke. it would be awesome if i could save up enough money and buy myself a nice canon rebel xsi<3 that would be my dream. haha.


anyway. graduation is next sunday. then the monday after that i have an award ceremony to go to. both my graphic design and photography classes told us about this watertown savings bank 2010 high school calendar contest. well, my photography class made us all actually enter. it was for all the surrounding areas such around my city. they pick 12 (obviously) winners and then those 12 get featured in the calendar.

and guess what? I GOT AN HONORABLE MENTION!

my photograph will be featured in the 2010 calendar! i wonder which month it will be for... but ah! haha. i'm stoked. i'm going to be getting a $100 gift certificate! i'm not sure to where, because it doesn't say, but the $500 gift certificate for first place was for an art supply store and then the $300 gift certificate is to a camera store. so it's safe to assume it's something art related, which is still really awesome. the only thing that sucks is they spelled my name wrong. haha. but when i called to confirm i will be attending, they said they will fix it.
